C’est dans ce joyeux mélange que j’ai puisé le matériau pour développer et écrire le scénario. J’ai imaginé une « Sérénade à quatre » composée de dialogues tragi-comiques, de chansons, de didascalies pleines d’argot. Nathalie Richard et Axel Bogousslavsky incarnent avec complicité NONO et NANO, la sœur et le frère. Jean Rolin est LULU, un personnage inspiré du narrateur de ses livres. Jean-Paul Jurquet, marchand aux puces est DÉDÉ. L’exposition me permet de déballer « l’envers du décor ». Elle est un pont entre le scénario et le film à réaliser.
Boum! Boum! is a musical fantasy inspired by letters from my brother Didier, in which he tells me about day-to-day life in medical daycare centres. A poet with an unusual take on the world, he writes from his bedroom, which he has turned into a discotheque. His words are distorted, rearranged and repeated. His writing is Harlequinesque with a dash of humour. It creates an extraordinary world. I have tried to create a fictional space by involving the energy and the substance of his language with the Saint-Ouen flea market. That cheerful mixture provided material for me to develop and write the script. I have imagined a “Four-part Serenade” consisting of tragi-comic dialogues, songs and slang-filled stage directions. Nathalie Richard and Axel Bogousslavsky play NONO and NANO, the sister and brother, who share a close bond. Jean Rolin is LULU, a character inspired by the narrator of his books. Jean-Paul Jurquet, a merchant at the flea market, is DÉDÉ. This exhibition has provided me with a chance to set out on my stall the “activity in the wings”. It is a bridge between the script and the film that is going to be made.
